Saturday, April 18, 2026
  • The programme targeted senior university students and recent graduates to enhance their readiness for the job market.
  • The programme focused on familiarising participants with the national standards for digital skills and the approved evaluation tool.
  • The programme aimed to support the alignment of educational outcomes with job requirements in the digital sectors.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Digital Society and Digital Competencies Department, in collaboration with Qatar Foundation’s Alumni Office and Student Services, organised a series of specialised sessions guided by the Digital Skills Framework (DSF). These sessions targeted senior university students and recent graduates, aiming to enhance their understanding of market-relevant skills and prepare them for future opportunities.

These sessions contribute to ongoing efforts to align educational outcomes with job market needs by outlining the national standards for digital skills, providing participants with practical tools, and clarifying the associated career pathways. Attendees were also briefed on prominent global trends that reflect the rapid shifts in core skills across various sectors.

Furthermore, the sessions introduced the Digital Skills Evaluation (DSE) tool, enabling participants to assess their current skill levels and benchmark them against the requirements of job roles in various sectors. This assists them in pinpointing areas for development and building clearer career pathways.

The initiative focused on supporting the readiness of senior students and recent graduates for the job market by enhancing their understanding of the required core skills and aligning their acquired knowledge with the evolving professional demands of modern work environments. Additionally, discussions covered broader trends related to digital transformation and skills development on a global level, underscoring the importance of early preparation for rapid changes in the job market.

These efforts align with the strategic directions associated with the Digital Agenda 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy, supporting the development of national competencies in digital fields and strengthening their readiness for the future.

The Digital Skills Framework (DSF) is a national initiative by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, designed to strengthen digital competencies and provide a national reference that guides individuals and organisations in developing their skills, thereby contributing to human capital development.
