DARE Index 2020 is developed by G3ict for disability advocates, governments, international organizations and policy makers to trace country progress in making ICTs accessible for all, in compliance with Article 9 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
Qatar has ranked number one globally in Internet Adoption, according to “The Global State of Digital 2021” report, released by Hootsuite. The report features in-depth profiles of more than 230 countries and territories around the world.
GEMS Maturity Index is based on three main pillars in the classification and evaluation process. The first pillar measures service availability and sophistication, the second measures service use and user satisfaction, while the third measures the government's efforts to public outreach.
The IDI is a comprehensive assessment consisting of 10 indicators, divided into two main pillars: Universal Connectivity and Meaningful Connectivity, measuring respectively how many are connected to telecommunication services and the quality of the connectivity.
Qatar e-Government Portal - Hukoomi won the Arab e-Content Award of the World Summit Awards (WSA), in the e-government and open data category, in both 2011 and 2013. The portal was recognized for providing a one-stop shop for e-government services and information in the State of Qatar.
Qatar e-Government Portal - Hukoomi won this award in the “Government Sector” category in 2017 for its rich information that covers multiple sectors, such as health, education and business, as well as having nearly 1,380 digital services at the time.
MCIT obtained this certification in 2018 following thorough assessment of the information security standards adopted in all government shared services provided by MCIT to government entities across Qatar.
Tasmu platform won the World Summit Awards (WSA) in 2021, in “Government and Citizen Engagement Category”. It was selected among 40 winners (five for each of the eight award categories) announced by the award office out of a total of 800 nominations from more than 100 countries participating in the award.
MCIT won the Champions Award of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) in 2022, in the "Building Confidence and Security in the Use of Information and Communication Technology" category, for its SafeSpace platform project.
