Program Overview

The MCIT Overseas Internship Program offers local talent the opportunity to gain world-class exposure in technology and digital innovation. Participants engage in multi-month internships with leading global tech companies, where they develop advanced digital skills, industry knowledge, and build leadership capabilities. The program prepares them to lead impactful digital projects that strengthen public services and fuel Qatar’s growing digital economy.

This internship program forms a cornerstone of NEXTGEN, a strategic initiative by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) dedicated to nurturing the next generation of digital leaders. Through NEXTGEN, MCIT equips both current employees and emerging talent with the expertise needed to keep pace with technological change and shape the nation’s digital future.

By building a skilled, future-ready workforce, NEXTGEN directly contributes to achieving the ambitions of the Digital Agenda 2030, which envisions a competitive, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital economy that enhances the quality of life for all.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Fresh graduates with an educational background in ICT.
  • Current MCIT employees with less than three years of ICT experience.

Program Phases

    Candidate Selection

    Participants are nominated based on their academic excellence and their digital and professional skills.

    Training

    An intensive multi-month program that includes practical training at leading global technology companies, along with distinguished opportunities to work within the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
