Awards
Qatar’s i-Gov program has been recognized throughout the region and the world. In the United Nations e-Government Survey 2014, Qatar ranks ranks 44 out of 193 countries–up from 48 in 2012 --in the e-Government Development Index. In addition, Qatar has received multiple awards for the progress made in i-Gov over the past decade:
- E-Excellence Award at the Second GCC e-Gov Award event, organized by the GCC-Kuwait government in 2011
- Best New Call Center and Best Government Call Center in 2010 by the Middle East Contact Center Conference, organized by Insight
- e-Accessibility Award for Hukoomi at QITCOM 2012 organized by Qatar’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technology
- The Arab Best e-Content Award of open data and electronic government for Hukoomi, organized by the World Summit Award (WSA) in 2011
- The Arab Best e-Content Award of open data and electronic government for Hukoomi, organized by the World Summit Award (WSA) in 2013
- The GCC e-Government Award organized by GCC e-Government Conference and Exhibition in 2013
