The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, represented by its “Studio 5″ initiative, participated in the Teaching and Learning Forum organized by the Education Development Institute under the Qatar Foundation on February 23, 2025. Held under the theme ” Transforming Education for the Future,” the forum brought together teachers, leaders, and technology experts to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education and how it can be utilized to enhance learning outcomes and drive innovation. The event also discussed ways to integrate modern technologies into educational curricula, including the use of AI as a tool to foster student engagement and creative thinking.

Ms. Nouf Abdulaziz Al-Haddad, Section Head of the Digital Competencies at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized the significance of participating in the Teaching and Learning Forum 2025. She underscored that the primary objective of this involvement is to demonstrate how AI can enhance critical and creative thinking while making the learning process more interactive and tailored to the needs of both teachers and students.

She further stated, “At the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, we firmly believe that empowering future generations with modern digital skills is essential for building a future grounded in digital innovation. To this end, we are committed to delivering advanced educational and training programs that enable young individuals to explore the potential of emerging technologies and develop innovative solutions to tackle future challenges.

During the forum, Studio 5 conducted three training sessions where participants explored the creative dimensions of artificial intelligence. The first session, titled “Artificial Intelligence as a Creative Tool,” showcased practical models for integrating AI into educational programs, aiming to enhance digital innovation and improve student learning outcomes. The session also highlighted the importance of using AI to personalize learning experiences, making them more interactive and efficient. Additionally, it emphasized AI’s role as a powerful tool for fostering creativity and addressing challenges through innovative approaches.

The second session, titled “Storytelling with Artificial Intelligence,” explored the vast potential of AI as a creative tool, offering storytellers the opportunity to discover new ways to innovate and develop narratives. The session focused on how AI can be used to generate innovative narrative ideas and create diverse, creative texts and stories, thereby enhancing artistic expression and enriching cultural and media content. It also highlighted the integration of AI in filmmaking, gaming, and interactive storytelling, redefining traditional narrative concepts and providing creators with new tools to deepen the storytelling experience.

Meanwhile, the third workshop, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Data Collection,” gave attendees the chance to learn about machine learning techniques and how they can be used for data collection, analysis, and encryption. The session explained the mechanisms of AI in data classification, pattern extraction, and efficient information analysis. Participants also had the opportunity to apply these techniques practically to their own projects, helping them gain hands-on skills in handling data using AI tools. The workshop emphasized the importance of understanding these technologies to enhance participants’ ability to use them for improving performance and making informed decisions, reflecting the growing impact of these technologies across technical and creative fields.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s participation in the Teaching and Learning Forum aligns with its efforts to achieve the goals of the Digital Agenda 2030, which aims to integrate cutting-edge technologies into the education sector. Through its initiatives, the Ministry is driving the digital transformation of the education system by incorporating AI and advanced technologies. This participation underscores the Ministry’s commitment to advancing education through digital innovation and preparing students for a digital future, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Notably, Studio 5, one of the Ministry’s flagship initiatives, is designed to nurture the creative skills of children and youth aged 7 to 24. Studio 5 offers a hands-on learning environment in fields such as 3D printing, robotics, and digital manufacturing.
