Studio 5 is a digital fabrication lab established by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in 2019, with the aim of nurturing the children and youth (7-24 years) of Qatar by enhancing their scientific skills in the digital age. It offers cutting-edge technologies and practical experiences that bolster problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.
Objectives
Studio 5 aims to:
- Provide opportunities in an all-pervasive digital environment for children and youth in State of Qatar.
- Enable children and youth to sharpen their learning skills and become ICT creators, not simply consumers of technology.
- Spread the “Maker Culture” in Qatari society.
- Foster innovation, imagination, and creativity through the exploration of cutting-edge technologies
- Provide children and youth in Qatar with hands-on encounters that enable them to refine their thoughts and become progressively engaged.
- Allow children and youth to become future creators of technology.
