Government Data Exchange System
Government Data Exchange System

The Government Data Exchange System (GDX) helps government entities raise their efficiency and improve collaboration between them to provide electronic services to the public.

Through this centralised back-end data exchange system, entities no longer require the public to submit hardcopy of documents for verification purposes; it has become possible to conduct verification through this system directly with the data sources entities, therefore increasing the capability of entities to deliver end-to-end e-services to the public.

The system aims to accomplish that by providing the needed tools and data standardisation to government entities to enable data exchange in a secure and effective way.

GDX has the following features:
  • Facilitating end-to-end service delivery.
  • Setting data exchange foundations and standards.
  • Building a registry or index of all available government data sets.
  • Providing an admin panel to data providers and consumers to send and receive requests and control access rights
The benefits of this service are many, including:
  • Providing end-to-end services without the need to ask users to refer to other entities for document verification or missing data.
  • Standardising integration methods according to best practices.
  • Defining ownership of data and helping entities standardise data models.
