Integrated Government Program (i-Gov)

The Qatar Digital Government Strategy applies to all government entities to accelerate the progress made over the past ten years since Qatar’s integrated government program was launched in 2006. Spearheaded by the Supreme Council of Information and Communications Technology (now the Ministry of Transport and Communications), i-Gov’s  aim was to integrate all the services provided by the various agencies of Qatar’s government into one unified system.  Hukoomi, Qatar’s official online e-services and information portal was launched in 2008 as a single-access point for all users including citizens, residents, visitors, and businesses.  Over the years, enhancements to the portal with content updates and informational services were made.

The integration and standardization of all government systems, infrastructure and processes were required to achieve this goal. This includes the implementation of the  Government Network, a safe and reliable network that directly links Qatar’s government entities together over a secure communications platform, allowing for data sharing and enhanced security of e-services; and the Government Contact Center to serve as a 24-hour, single point of contact  customer center for citizens and residents for any service-related inquiries.

I-Gov program supports the human, social, economic, and environmental development goals outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030. For background information about the i-Gov program in Qatar, visit this link.
