The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by the Digital Incubation Center, has concluded the 11th edition of the “Idea Camp” program, which aims to support entrepreneurs in developing scalable tech startups. The Idea Camp 11 stood out with broad participation from local and international startups. It was designed to empower early-stage entrepreneurs by equipping them with the tools to transform their ideas into viable, fundable business models.

The Idea Camp 11 crowned a series of prior achievements, evident in the high level of participation, the quality of incubated projects, and the program’s tangible impact in fostering digital innovation and entrepreneurship. This edition received 374 applications, of which 79 startups were selected, including 44 international projects. Participants took part in eight intensive workshops and over 78 hours of one-on-one mentorship delivered by industry experts, which helped them to develop business models, validate their ideas, and prepare for investor presentations.

Commenting on the event, Ms. Eman Al-Kuwari, Director of the Digital Innovation Department at MCIT, highlighted the importance of Idea Camp in empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. She stated: “Idea Camp is a practical embodiment of our commitment to delivering on the goals and pillars of the Digital Agenda 2030 by building a robust national ecosystem for digital innovation and entrepreneurship. This ecosystem can transform promising ideas into real-world solutions that contribute to diversifying and enhancing the competitiveness of our national economy. Investing in creative ideas is a strategic investment in the future of digital innovation in Qatar. Through Idea Camp, we actively foster the development of digital projects in key sectors, with a particular focus on AI and transformative technologies, in line with global trends and in a way that strengthens Qatar’s position as a regional hub for digital entrepreneurship.”

The 11th edition placed a strong emphasis on cutting-edge technologies, with the selected startups covering diverse areas such as EdTech, HRTech, and HealthTech, and a particular focus on deep and transformative technologies, most notably Artificial Intelligence. Following a final judging round, 15 startups were selected to join the Digital Incubation Center’s incubation program, distributed across two main tracks: the Growth Track and the Idea Track. These startups will embark on a two-year incubation journey during which they will benefit from free office space, specialized training, direct mentorship, and valuable networking opportunities with partners and investors in Qatar’s digital innovation ecosystem.

At the closing ceremony, the 11th Idea Camp awarded QAR 550,000 in financial grants to five outstanding startups across both tracks. In the Growth Track, the first-place winner Cloudilic received QAR 150,000, while the second-place winner JerboLab received QAR 100,000. In the Idea Track, the first-place winner Nashaty received QAR 150,000, the second-place winner Bionic Soul received QAR 100,000, and the third-place winner ElafMart received QAR 50,000.
