H.E. the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Holds Bilateral Meetings to Strengthen Digital Partnerships on the Sidelines of MWC25 Doha

On the sidelines of MWC25 Doha, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, held a series of bilateral meetings with ministers, ambassadors, and senior officials representing the international delegations participating in the conference.

The meetings focused on discussing ways to enhance bilateral and regional cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, developing telecommunications infrastructure, exchanging expertise on regulatory policies, and exploring opportunities to build strategic partnerships that support digital innovation ecosystems.

His Excellency the Minister’s meetings included:

  • E. Mr. Sid Ali Zerrouki, Minister of Post and Telecommunications of The People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in digital transformation, and the development of fiber-optics and 5G infrastructure.
  • E. Eng. Abdulsalam Haykal, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Syrian Arab Republic, to discuss prospects for cooperation.
  • The Somali delegation, headed by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Osman Dirie, State Minister for Communications and Technology of the Federal Republic of Somalia, to review ways to support digital transformation journey and capacity building.
  • Delegation from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, headed by H.E. Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, to discuss cooperation in digital skills development and youth empowerment.
  • High-level delegation from the Republic of the Philippines, including H.E Dr. Sabuddin N. Abdurahim, Minister of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos, H.E. Mardomel Celo D. Melicor, Ambassador of the Republic of Philippines to the State of Qatar, and Ms. Enunina V. Mangio, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss enhancing private-sector partnerships.
