MCIT, Microsoft to Inaugurate First Digital Center of Excellence in Qatar Tomorrow

Doha, Qatar

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and Microsoft will inaugurate tomorrow, Tuesday, the first Digital Center of Excellence of its kind in Qatar.
The Center is scheduled to be inaugurated in a ceremony organized by the two sides under the patronage and presence of HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, and the participation of elite representatives of the public and private sectors in Qatar.
The Center comes within the digital capacity-building program, launched by MCIT and Microsoft, with the aim of training various segments of society by 2025 and providing them with advanced cloud computing skills, in order to enable them to achieve their full capabilities and succeed in innovation. It also contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of the country at the regional and global levels and in building a digitally advanced and sustainable future in Qatar.
The Digital Center of Excellence is the result of close cooperation between MCIT, Microsoft and pioneers in the technology and education sectors in Qatar and the world to create an oasis to develop digital skills and support the digital transformation process as well as the national efforts for human development in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
