The Digital Incubation Center (DIC), affiliated to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), has announced 25 startups that won the opportunity to be incubated by the DIC in the sixth edition of IdeaCamp, during a closing ceremony attended by various DIC partners and entrepreneurs in the State of Qatar.

The announcement came after 42 competing startups presented their projects in front of a specialized judging panel that consisted of Mr. Faraj Abdalla from Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council, Mr. Khalid Sadeddin from Qatar Business Incubation Center, Dr. Allan Villegas from HEC Paris University, Mr. Ahmed Al Sayegh from Bedaya Center, Mrs. Hayfa Al Abdulla from Qatar Science & Technology Park, Ms. Abby Chan from Qatar Financial Center, Dr. Boumediene Ramadani from Qatar University, Dr. Achraf Othman from the Assistive Technology Center (Mada), Mr. Ahmed Al Khanji from Hapondo, Mr. Amin Matni from Qatar Development Bank, Mr. Omar Ashour from E-Butler, and Mr. Omar Shaath from TASMU.

DIC announced the first place winner with cash prize of QR 150,000 for EyeTech, second place winner with cash prize of QR 100,000 for WeTreat, and third place winner with cash prize of QR 50,000 for Naseh.

Furthermore, the winning startups for the sixth edition of IdeaCamp were announced: EyeTech, MyPetWorld, WeTreat, Akrem, Diabeto, I Care, The Influencer Lab, AutismoLab LLC, Ta2meen, Eulogy, SwitchIn, Q Sales Online Shopping, SPOR, Luna's Health Hub, Naseh, Kids Tap, Fetal Health System, Baitech, Muamla, Bawales, FMCG Last Mile Delivery, ParkSmart, CloudReceipt, Doha Service.

Through innovative and scalable startups, Qatar can diversify its economy while delivering impactful solutions for society; and thus, contributing to realizing Qatar National Vision. DIC is committed to supporting digital entrepreneurs in Qatar. The sixth edition of IdeaCamp was exceptional in terms of the quality of the participants' projects."

Selected ideas in the sixth edition of the camp varied to serve the sectors of education, health care, and environment, and transportation using emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, internet of things, drones, robotics, and platforms.

The startups in IdeaCamp will enjoy DIC guidance and support throughout their incubation, as well as office space for two years, and access to a free package of digital services represented in Oracle cloud services, Amazon web services, Adobe Suite programs, LinkedIn learning licenses, and other various services from DIC partners. In addition, the top three winners will receive a total cash prize of QR 300,000.

DIC was established in 2011 to build a supportive ecosystem for digital entrepreneurs in Qatar to enable them to achieve their dreams and make them active contributors to the diversification of the digital economy of the State of Qatar. Through its strategic partnerships, DIC seeks to raise the level of digital entrepreneurship in Qatar and empower the promising generation of innovative ideas capable of harnessing emerging technology to overcome contemporary challenges.
